Mustang Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Your journey begins with a scenic drive or flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Along the route, you will witness beautiful rivers, hills, terraced farmland, and mountain scenery. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can relax around Lakeside and prepare for the Mustang adventure ahead. In the evening, you may explore local cafés, restaurants, and peaceful lakeside surroundings. Overnight stay will be in Pokhara.

Day 2: Pokhara to Jomsom

Today, you will travel toward Jomsom through breathtaking mountain roads, waterfalls, and deep river gorges. The route passes through Beni, Tatopani, and beautiful Himalayan landscapes with stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. As the journey continues, the environment gradually changes into dry desert terrain characteristic of Mustang. Upon arrival in Jomsom, you can explore the local market and enjoy the unique mountain atmosphere. Overnight stay will be in Jomsom.

Day 3: Jomsom to Lo Manthang

The journey continues deeper into Upper Mustang through remote villages, barren hills, caves, and Tibetan settlements. Along the route, you will pass Kagbeni, one of the gateway villages to Upper Mustang, known for its ancient architecture and monasteries. The road offers incredible desert landscapes and colorful rocky cliffs unlike any other region in Nepal. After several scenic stops and cultural experiences, you will finally reach Lo Manthang, the ancient walled kingdom of Mustang. Overnight stay will be in Lo Manthang.

Day 4: Exploration Day in Lo Manthang

This day is dedicated to exploring the ancient city of Lo Manthang and surrounding attractions. You will visit historic monasteries, royal palaces, prayer wheels, and traditional Tibetan houses reflecting centuries-old Himalayan culture. The town offers spectacular mountain scenery and peaceful spiritual surroundings. You may also explore nearby caves and villages while interacting with local residents and monks. In the evening, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Himalayan desert kingdom. Overnight stay will be in Lo Manthang.

Day 5: Lo Manthang to Pokhara

After breakfast, you will begin the return journey from Lo Manthang toward Pokhara. The route once again offers incredible mountain views, deep valleys, waterfalls, rivers, and remote landscapes. Along the way, you can stop for photography and sightseeing at scenic viewpoints and traditional villages. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can relax and enjoy the comfortable city environment after the rugged Mustang adventure. Overnight stay will be in Pokhara.

Day 6: Pokhara to Kathmandu

On the final day, you will return to Kathmandu by tourist bus or flight while enjoying beautiful countryside scenery and river valleys. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the Mustang journey officially concludes with unforgettable memories of Himalayan landscapes, Tibetan culture, monasteries, and desert mountain adventures.
